Cold Hands Warm Hearts
Here is a little DIY project for you to make to keep your hands warm!
We could have used some on our trip to Kansas to watch our son play baseball. If you know of some sort of nose warmer please let me know.
Back to the DIY. Pick up a flannel shirt at your local thrift store. Make sure it is 50% off day so you don’t spend a lot of money. Create a heart shape and trace around the flannel.
Pin the heart on and cut around.
Now put right sided together, pin and stitch. You can hand stitch it or use a machine. It is up to you. Leave a little space open to add your rice or beans. Turn right side out.
You can make a simple funnel out of paper to add the rice. You could add some lavender blossoms for a lovely scent. Make sure not to overfill.
Ok now stitch the opening closed.
Look how great they look! Just pop them into the microwave for 30 seconds at first to see how warm they are. Keep in your pocket to warm them up.
Keep your hands warm and look cute doing it! Win. Win
Here is a tutorial on how to make an adorable bag to keep them in.
