Sweater Week Look One!

Sweater Neck Warmer DIY

Welcome to Sweater Week here at ThriftDee! I took one $4.00 sweater and upstyled it for a week’s worth of posts!! Today is Number One the neck warmer. Some would call it a snood. Snood is a weird word. Snooood. Yuck. So I’m going with neck warmer.

This is Katie the Intern modeling it for me.

Sweater Upcycle DIY

This was super easy. Look for a cowl-neck sweater at Goodwill or any thrift shop. When you are browsing look for an OVERSIZED cowl so that it gives you something to work with. See how long the neck is in the photo? That is what you’re looking for.

Just cut directly UNDER the seam so that it will not unravel, then give it a s-t-r-e-t-c-h. Next let your intern model it and take it home for her trouble. (I pay her with Starbucks and Goodwill goodies!)
Stay tuned all this week for more inexpensive and stylish ways to transform a $4.00 Goodwill Sweater.
