WIWW Ralph Lauren

This is my “My hair is so big that I can’t hold my head up” photo.

Blazer is H&M Thrifted from Unique Thrift

Shirt Ralph Lauren  Thrifted from Goodwill (Altered by ME!)

Old Navy Skinny Boyfriend Jeans

Mens Brogues Thrifted from Goodwill (Some Italian Brand)

I love this shirt but it started out with a big ruffle down the front.  I am kind of a small person and ruffles make me look like a second grader.  Since I thrifted this Ralph Lauren shirt I didn’t mind putting the scissors to it!

Ralph Lauren Shirt Thrifted 2

Just take a pair of Very Sharp Fabric Scissors (no the crappy kind in your junk drawer wont work, trust me) Then trim off the ruffle as close to the seam as you can.  Beee careful not to cut the shirt underneath.

Viola!  No ruffle on the right side.  Much better for me and the alteration was free!

Yes, I do suffer from Big Hair Disease.  There is no cure.

You are a genius! So many times I don’t buy something because of some little detail like a ruffle. Great idea! I read somewhere that if you have a shirt that is always worn with layers to cut off the sleeves to reduce bulk – I loved that idea too and did it with my chambray.

So happy to see a WIW post from you, Dee!
