Ruth Stout is my Spirit Animal

Ruth Stout

“I don’t do anything I don’t want to do, and I don’t have to.  So there we are.”  Ruth Stout

Well I have found my Spirit Animal, her name is Ruth Stout. I’m not sure if it is the Asparagus speaking to her, her laziness, or the naked gardening. I want to be her when I grow up. This surely will not come as any surprise to anyone who truly knows me.

I recently became obsessed with her and it turns out that she wrote her autobiography and they are only on Amazon for about a bajillion dollars. If you see one in a thrift store snag it for me!!!

Watch the video and tell me that she isn’t the greatest human being EVER!! I just like to slowly remove the veil so you can see who I really am! HA!  Seriously, watch this with a bowl of very cold water next to you to keep those kids away.

Unable to watch this video, …but I know She wrote a book (at about age 90) on ” how to have a garden without a broken back” — taught the world to mulch — its gotta be at libraries, not?

I love her too! A book would be great but it is so good to hear her voice….I think we must be related.

WOW!!! Loved her story and the honest, truthful approach to life. Also learned some great gardening tips I will use in my feeble attempt to feed my family some organic food. Thanks for sharing her story…will be on the lookout for her book!
