Cozy up your Electric Heating Pad with a Thrift Store Flannel Shirt
Doesn’t cozying up with you tablet sound good right about now? Add a little warmth with a soft flannel cover that is soo easy to make!
Find a LARGE or XL Flannel shirt so you have a lot of fabric to work with.
You will use BOTH SIDES of the shirt. FIRST cut the buttoned up section leaving 2-3 inches on both sides. Do Not cut through to the back.
Second, using the electric heating pad as a guide cut out TWO sections of the Back of the Shirt using 2-3 extra inches on all sides. So that you will have a front and a back.
Now McGyver one side of the button section along the top and sew into place. I used a sewing machine but you could hand stitch it. I DID NOT try to make this perfect, because I am a beginning sewer so I just had to wing it as I went.
See? Not perfect but it worked!!! That way you can have the cord come out the side.
Basically you are sewing an envelope and then re-attaching the cut out button section.
I hope this made some sense. Enjoy your cozy reading spot!
